Mitt Romney farted something about running for Prez again

Of course, he's denying that he has any interest in running again for the presidency. That's to be expected.

However ...

People like Romney believe that "things," (like the presidency), are his "God-given right." So of course he's once again got his eyes on the Oval Office.

Sigh.

I guess what gets me is the incredible ignorance that accompanies his ambition. Doesn't he realize that all his opponent has to do is rerun that 47% video over, and over, and over again? Doesn't he realize there's no way in the world he can get enough votes to become president?

Then again, perhaps I'm the ignorant one. Perhaps he's counting on the George W. Bush model. Don't win it. Steal it... Ummm, I mean get appointed by the Supreme Court.

Yeah, yeah, I know. It ain't gonna' happen again.

But what if it does?

by this man? If so, it could be entertaining to watch him fail again.

That means that the 2nd and 3rd choice of Romney or Jeb Bush become more feasible.

Are there really enough people in this country who would vote for him? I doubt that, given his current problems, there are enough people in New Jersey who would vote for him. Then again ...

I saw him speak at a conference in February. It was pure stump. None of this fond recollections of the campaign trail or how happy I am to have tried it. He was all campaign from the moment he walked out on the stage, to the Q&A, to his handshake during the meet & greet session.

He may not run but as of February he was making damned sure he could run.

BTW - saw Jeb the day before and he's doing exactly the same thing.

Should be a fun couple years.

Who is it around here who always says "where's my popcorn?".

To quote H.L. Mencken: "Nobody ever went broke underesimating the intelligence of the American people."

Christie (if he doesn't end up in jail first), Jeb Bush, or Romney could still end up in the White House. After all, this is America.

I should have been clearer. IMHO, the Rethug primaries and run up to a convention will likely be entertaining (especially if we could get the guy from "The Rent's Too High" party to throw his hat onto the national stage).

Whoever gets the nod has a chance...especially in a Citizens United world.
