Her and I have had our arguments for years now and I put my foot down constantly. Today is just the latest in the long tale of her encroaching on my turf.

My mind's just boggled about the insanity and/or complete ignorance of these people. And with all things considered, I'd rather pick some other more urgent battle with her next time, like when she asks me for an update on my sins.

It should be just a matter of removing a screw. if you have the standard outdoor faucet. No need to turn off the shut-off valve and disrupt your service to the rest of your house. Screw it back on whenever you need to use the tap. They also sell faucet locks, for around $15-25. Just google it.

I don't know what to tell you about the parking space, however, other than to just tell to get her fucking car out of your spot. If she's preventing you from using your spot, just park right behind her so she can't move when she wants to go somewhere, and has to come ask you to remove your vehicle. Then, tell her you'll move it when you feel like it, and that you're busy right now. That's what the passive-aggressive asshole in me would do.

I've had heated debates, civil discussions, and otherwise meaningless squabbles with my fundie neighbor. Things seem to die down for a while, but then she turns up again in the future.

By doing nothing you're allowing for the triumph of this neighbor's evil. Don't put up with it. Confront her every single time she takes your parking space. March outside and turn off the outside faucet and hand her back her hose. And so on.

Had the landlord assign spots. The result is, she doesn't park in my spot, she does park in the other neighbor's spot but she could have asked for and received permission. I don't know.

This is the first/only thing she's done since our neighborly battles began and I thought ended with the assigned spots. Her party hasn't begun yet, and the faucet usage stopped so I'm debating about picking this battle or waiting for something worse next time. There is no real great outcome for this one since it's over basically, she just irritates me in general with her hypocrisy.

Rest assured, I stopped playing Mr Nice Neighbor with her years ago and I know it pisses her off that I'm still here next door with my sinful ways. Ha!

I have an even better story than this one.

My other neighbor. 86 yr old WWII vet, WASP, Libertarian, gun humper extreme, former pastor at a church here, current chaplain at the hospital.

They built a beautiful house a few hundred yards away from our house. Builder left building supplies all over, some rebar in particular. He joked one night about stealing some. I thought hee hee haha ya right Mr Pastor.

Turns out he wasn't joking. He asked me to help build his raised beds in his garden. No problemo, I told him any time. Just call me. Then he asked seriously, let's go "lift" some of that rebar for the garden in the middle of the night.

Once I knew he was for real, I was like shit no. I'll help you build your garden, but Mr Pastor, well-to-do man can certainly afford a few pieces of rebar that's totally not needed for a garden for fux sake. He said ok, whatever, he'd get it on his own. Sure as shit he went back a few times and talked other neighbors into helping him steal it.

This was just weeks after the Trayvon case was over. He rejoiced and regaled me with stories about how he'd do this and that with his multitude of guns had he caught Trayvon in the same situation and Zimmerman was a hero and blah blah Fox News talking points.

I was like, wait wtf. What if the builder of that fancy new house down the road was a CCW carrier RWer freak and saw some guy lifting his rebar a few different times? What if he popped you a few times and you lived? Trayvon was walking through a neighborhood vs you ACTUALLY stealing shit a few different times. What if he blasted your ass and you lived, and were in the hospital later thinking it all over.

I just can't believe the hypocrisy. Young black kid walking home vs old white guy actually stealing stuff from an actual business man on a few occasions. It's almost like he thinks his WASP-iness gives him a get-out-of-jail-free card. He prays over dying people in the hospital to this day, literally lol His holiness.

I would have also considered giving the landlord a heads up if the woman was abusing the water usage. Her actions could have had the impact of impacting everyone else's leases if the landlord changed the terms at the time the leases were up for renewal.

I would make sure I had a camera (even if only a phone) handy. Next time she was running someone else's water, I'd pop outside and start photographing her.

As you've described it, she isn't stealing from you. The landlord pays for the water regardless of which faucet it comes out of. The only issue is that the landlord might get on your case if it looks like your water usage is unusually high. The photograph(s) will be available to you to provide to the landlord in response. She's seen to be (1) more responsible for the high water bill, and (2) conscious of the problem and actively trying to deceive the landlord.

I do have security cameras because of much worse things that happened here last year that I wanted to document. It was those cameras that got me to get the landlord to assign parking spots. I did not have them running today, not a big deal really. The water usage goes by our 3 unit buildings and they can't tell which individual unit is using the most. But I know and I've mentioned it to the landlord before, it's her and her water fetishes.

For years they asked about our exceedingly high water usage and eventually (when I decided to taddle) I told them she runs laundry 24-7 for her business. And since she feels free to abuse the arrangement day and night, I felt free to let them know she was gobbling up all our resources because the Lord in her head told her she's chosen and free to do so.

Honestly, I don't want to get her tossed out. I'd SO rather just leave here. But I wouldn't mind donning a Jesus Halloween costume and joining her little party for a debate about now haha!

They will move to a new location and rain on their new neighbors in a similar fashion, but they will be gone.

We've made the mistake of renting our house to some really devout Baptists, who we felt sympathy for, since they were going through a divorce... they've completely trashed the house, promising to fix everything. Then, when they found out how many thousands in damage they did, now are fighting trying to pay anything. Nothing like having animal urine on an oak floored house. --or not paying their electricity and having the sump pump shit off so the finished basement gets flooded out during a storm.

Then, recently, as the house is being restored, another fundie comes by, citing a friend who needs to rent a house. Luckily she backed out of the inquiry before we challenged her.

Another woman was hired as a babysitter for the kids, with references from the rabbi at the local temple. She dented the minivan, set fire to food on the counter and had the 12-year-old put it out (electric range and she used water!). She was abusing the animals, the kids were afraid of here... then she left them unattended at school one morning because she scheduled a dentist appointment at 8AM, when elementary school started at 8:30. The kids waited unsupervised in the vestibule for 15 minutes before staff arrived. Now, this woman only worked TWO days a week, and she had to schedule an appointment that conflicted with her weekly scheduled routine?
