When I tried to log in today (my name and password are stored, so it's not due to a typo), I get a page asking me to delete my cookies and Temp Internet files. I have done so and was able to log on once, but since then, even deleting my cache doesn't work.
Are others having any problems like this?
I am trying to see if it is my account or PC or a Facebook glitch.

(82,849 posts)Just post your log-in and password, and I'll get right on it! Just stay off Facebook for a little while; I'll let you know when you can log back in.
Heh, heh, heh.

(82,849 posts)Strange. Perhaps you need to contact Facebook? I've done all I can.

(33,616 posts)but I can't log in, so I can't contact them about my problem logging in unless I don't have a problem logging in.

(33,616 posts)if used prudently. I have made a number of professional contacts that I would not have otherwise, as well as gotten in touch with old friends.
If you don't want to be on it, don't. But to think that no one should use it, or that everyone on it is a fool is smug and inane.

(82,849 posts)No offense was intended. Facebook can indeed be a very useful tool; some humans have a remarkable ability to find ways to misuse even the most useful things. I hope you're able to get back on soon.

And i don't trust them not to use it.

(8,646 posts)this one is fine, however.
I've tried everything, including uninstalling and reinstalling IE. Safari was installed on that particular computer so that's what I use to log in to facebook on that laptop.
Not sure what the issue is. It's been almost 2 years and I can't figure it out.

(12,159 posts)when I do, I simply change my password, and everything is okay again. I think I've had to change my Fb password 3 or 4 times in the past year.
