By today's standards - Reagan wouldn't make it out of the primaries on his California record. Sure, he was an asshat who is fundamentally the "root of all evil" that we're experiencing today but seriously, he wouldn't make it out of the primaries because he had 2-3 cogent moments as governor where he did the right thing on taxes and such.
Hell, compared to Romney, Palin, Cruz and the rest of the philosophical sycophants, I might even choose the St. Ronnie of old.
