4 children among 6 killed in Houston-area shooting.

SPRING, Texas (AP) — Authorities say a gunman who killed four children and two adults in suburban Houston has been charged in their deaths.

Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Ron Hickman says 33-year-old Ronald Lee Haskell persuaded the children he was a FedEx delivery man to gain access to their home in Spring, Texas.

A soul-less, culturally barren, car-oriented, right-wing hellhole.

There were no activities for young people within walking distance, except a country club for which membership was required. And membership was expensive enough that only the wealthiest families of the Texas oil boom could join. (My family wasn't. We were leasing a house there while my dad tried to bull his way to prosperity in corporate America).

Not surprised that someone would go mad there, assisted by a heaping helping of Texas Gun-Crazy...

Haskell was estranged from a woman related to the couple, Hickman said. Authorities said earlier that Haskell's wife lives in another state. Hickman corrected preliminary accounts given by law enforcement personnel Wednesday night that Haskell was the father of the slain children.

He couldn't get to her easily so he killed her family.
