They will either decide on the 10th circuit in the next term or do the shitty thing and wait for more circuit's to get to them for better understanding (which would be bullshit, because they will all be essentially the same opinion)before they rule.

the court's intent and make those decisions into precedents. Since there are several such decisions, precedent will become the law, essentially, and future cases will be ruled on based on the precedent.

If the SCOTUS refuses to hear appeals on a couple of these decisions, the precedent will be established, and the other circuits and district courts will follow suit.

It's how much of constitutional law is settled. SCOTUS says as much by refusing certiorari as it does by hearing a case and ruling with the lower court. In either case, the precedent is clear.

This court would rather not rule on marriage equality issues. So, it will probably simply let these rulings stand. That's easier for them to do, frankly.

But my preference would to have them rule on it and be done with it.

Yes I know I want my cake & eat it too, but on this issue I think it would be the right decision.

Unfortunately, I doubt that the current SCOTUS will make such a decision. There are too many justices who have constituencies that would scream if they did. In the ruling that most of these cases are based on, they went about as far as I'd expect them to go. The other district courts read that decision and are correctly interpreting it. That's why I believe the SCOTUS will punt on this, and let the lower court rulings simply stand. There are enough of them now to establish a solid precedent. The die has been cast, and equality has the winning numbers.

There may be states that attempt to hang on to bigotry, but that will eventually end. None of them are places I would ever live.

The 'gays should not be around kids' folks, that whole crowd. They failed so utterly, so entirely, so completely....all the urgings to be 'pragmatic and accept that only civil unions are possible for a generation' were just their last pitiful attempt to rescue their reputations.
Some of us remember, and will never ever forget.

Good on the judge! That law is as horrible as anything a fascist state could come up with (yes, talking about YOU Russia). One day people will be allowed to be happy and in love with whoever the hell they want! It will be their RIGHT as a human. It is there RIGHT now...but sadly we still have some troglodytes in power that like to watch others suffer.
