Cantor thought he was untouchable also. And the voters threw him out on his ear.
I think the voters in southern Ohio might want to give thought about doing the same thing to their esteemed Leader, John Boehner??

(15,071 posts)Boehner accommodates them. Want to shut down the government? John will lead you in doing it. Want to default on the US debt? John will help.

(28,394 posts)Cantor thought he was "all that" and forgot about those that "brung" him. Has Boehner gotten too big for his britches too?

(14,733 posts)Dems are running Tom Poetter, a professor over at Miami University against him this cycle, but while I've already been seeing a few ads for Boehner, I haven't seen any sort of advertising or media coverage of Poetter yet, and I doubt I will - no one up the party chain ever wants to put any money into working on OH-08.
I do think it is time for him to go...

(19,566 posts)The whole lawsuit thing was his plan to appease the TP. They want to impeach and he knows that's a fools errand, so he came up with the lawsuit to try and keep his nuts from revolting on him. However, there's always the chance this whole ploy could backfire on him and tick off his TP caucus members. If that happens before January of next year they're going to try to oust him. I'm not sure if they'd succeed, but it would be fun to watch.

(25,406 posts)Immigration reform died when Cantor got himself tea-partied. I don't like Boehner, but have no wish for him to be replaced by a foaming-at-the-mouth idiot who would actually do something like default on the national debt or impeach Obama.
