This Cashier Told Obama A Gay Sex Joke And Got The Best Reaction

That cashier -- Daniel Rugg Webb, a comedian and part-time employee at Franklin Barbecue -- told the Austin Chronicle the fist bump was a reaction to a gay sex joke:

As the president approached, Webb threw his hand down and slapped the counter dramatically. "Equal rights for gay people!"

"Are you gay?" the president asked.

"Only when I have sex," Webb said.

"That's when he laughed and said, 'Bump me,'" Webb says.

OK. So here's the deal: The joke is about people thinking that LGBT people are different from straight people in many ways. When asked if this person was gay, he says, "Only when I have sex." You see, the point is that all the rest of the time, he's just a person like everyone else. Being gay has nothing to do with lifestyle. It has only to do with the person's inborn sexual orientation.

"Are you straight?"
"Only when I have sex."

Same joke. Same point.

I hope that helps you understand the humor in this old joke. The President had probably heard it before, too.

.... if you are a man and your are not gay you do not have to have sex w/other men.
and "the gays" will not make you have sex w/other men ..... honest

BTW I have practiced having sex w/out trying to reproduce for years ..... except when
a child was wanted.

And he's doing a good job at it.

He's decided to flood the media with pictures of him being one with the people.
He does it well and seems to actually enjoy doing it.

I don't remember another president who did this so effortlessly.
Other presidents photo ops always seemed a little self conscious, particularly Bush's.
Obama always seems very natural and friendly.

He seems absolutely dilighted to be out amongst the people, and it must feel sooooooooooooooo good to have some positive interactions after putting up with all the RWNJ resistance to every damn thing all day every day.
