Guess he has the ability to control where airplanes fly and where missiles point.
There will be a huge rightwing Obama blame festival.McCain, Graham, and Cheney will say Obama is weak and should have attacked Russia.
Fox news hasn't even posted breaking news cause they're busy gathering blame Obama propaganda right now.lol
This just another Obama distraction from the Gaza conflict.'sarcasm'

Russia giving the rebels these weapons is probably why the US imposed sanctions this week.

(62,325 posts)political purposes. I see the Kiev Govt has already accused the eastern rebels, but I have not seen their evidence yet.
Meantime nearly 300 human beings are tragically dead and whoever is responsible SHOULD be found and held accountable for that, but you're right, it is not likely we will ever find out.

(62,325 posts)know there has been no evidence at all yet as to who caused this terrible tragedy other than speculation from here. The Corporate media sold us the Bush lies, so I have little faith in their speculation. Gawker is trash btw, a gossip magaziine. Thanks anyhow, clearly no one knows who is responsible at this point.

(27,985 posts)Anton Gerashenko, an aide to the Ukrainian Interior Minister, said on his Facebook page that the plane was flying at an altitude of 33,000 feet over eastern Ukraine when it was hit by a missile fired from a Buk launcher.
A similar launcher was reported by journalists near the eastern Ukrainian town of Snizhne earlier today.
Mr Gerashenko wrote on his Facebook page: Cynicism of Putin and his terrorists, there is no limit! Europe, the United States, Canada, the civilized world open your eyes! It is a war of good versus evil!

(27,985 posts)MOSCOWUkraine on Thursday accused Russia's armed forces of shooting down one of its fighter jets over Ukrainian territory, marking Kiev's most direct accusation yet of Moscow's involvement in the separatist conflict in the country's east.
A Russian military plane fired on and downed a Ukrainian SU-25 fighter jet that was flying over the town of Amvrosiivka in Ukraine's Donetsk region on Wednesday night, Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Spokesman Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense said the jet was shot in the tail section from the direction of the Russian border while it was turning around at approximately 7 p.m. on Wednesday night. (Follow the latest updates on the crisis in Ukraine.)
"In this way, Russia has executed another provocation," the ministry said in a statement. "The bombardment probably came from air-to-air missiles fired by a pair of Russian Armed Forces aircraft patrolling the border in a certain area."

(19,567 posts)Did Russia shoot down a Malasian passenger plane over Ukraine?
Whats known as fact is that a Malaysian jumbo jet was en route to Malaysia from Amsterdam when it fell from the sky. It almost certainly had reached cruising altitude by the time it entered Ukrainian airspace, which is where the plane lost contact, according to Malaysian Airlines. For it to crash because of catastrophic mechanical failure at that altitude is almost unthinkable. Its safe to say that something else caused it to crash.
Ukraine says that a Russian anti-aircraft missile downed the plane. It also claimed that a Ukrainian warplane was downed on Wednesday by a Russian jet fighter while flying in Ukrainian airspace. Russia has declared the allegation as absurd. But then, Russia similarly discounted that its aircraft had been used in military operations ahead of Russias seizure of Crimea. Russia similarly denied its ground troops had participated in the Crimea occupation. It denied any big concentrations of Russian forces along other parts of the Ukraine border.
Our June interview with Russian Ambassador Sergey I. Kislyak made it sound as if Russian intentions are pure and benevolent when it comes to the violence in Ukraine. The outside world, of course, knows differently, which is why the Obama administration this week announced the tightening of sanctions aimed at punishing Russia for its meddling.
Is Russia capable of committing such a heinous act as downing a civilian jumbo jet? The Soviet Union sent jet fighters to intercept KAL flight 007 on Sept. 1, 1983, and shot it out of the sky as it ventured into Soviet airspace, even though the fighter pilots had absolutely clear view of the plane and could see that it was a Boeing 747 passenger jet. It was a cold-blooded act of mass murder.

(62,325 posts)speculation. The tragedy just happened, there has been no investigation, I have seen the 'did Putin do it' from the Corporate Media, but I have seen nothing that suggests there is a shred of evidence of WHAT happened other than here.
Thanks, that's what I thought.
