Most Americans don’t want Obama impeachment: Poll

Sarah Palin may think President Obama deserves impeachment, but a poll released Friday found most Americans disagree.

A new CNN/ORC International poll found that 65% of Americans do not think Obama should be impeached. Just 33% said they feel Obama should be booted from the White House, according to the poll.

Palin, the former governor of Alaska and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, recently called for the GOP to impeach the president over his executive actions on immigration, writing in an op-ed for Breitbart.com, “the many impeachable offenses of Barack Obama can no longer be ignored.”

However, her calls for impeachment have received little support from the rest of the GOP, including House Speaker John Boehner, who insists his planned lawsuit against Obama is not a sign Republicans are plotting impeachment proceedings against the president.

Alright then. I hope the Republicans seeking re-election in 2014 run on "impeach Obama" platforms...they'll get rude awakenings on Nov. 5.

I realize that's not a majority and I may be looking at this glass 1/3 full, but still it kinda surprises me it'd be quite that high. Probably shouldn't, I suppose. Seems like a really bad road to go down for the Republicans.

2. If I were polled on whether the House should pass a bill of impeachment, I'd say yes. Especially if

they could impeach before November. I'd answer the poll that way, not because I think the President "should" be impeached, but that I want the Republican House to impeach him.

We are out 101 days until the election, and if the Republicans impeached the president, anyone canvassing any precinct for any Democratic House race would have a big, widely covered in the media talking point. Impeachment on the front page would be a big stick we could use to whack the Republican pinata.

Does anyone know how to get a political polling firm to call you?

Think of the most average person you know.

1/2 of America is stupider than that person.

The repukes will move for impeachment after the midterms but only if they pick up a number of house and senate seats.
