it's good because we do need the rain but the timing sucks .
i don't know when was the last time we got this much rain around this time of the year. i know there were light showers at times. but nothing like i'm seeing now which is what we should have gotten during the winter.

it sucks for business . but i hope everyone stays safe.
they said it we would get some rain yesterday but i didn't expect this.

(89,254 posts)i have some family members who go and i think with the huge crowds there are lines that go outside. and people stay overnight for things also.

There was a huge flash and the loudest thunder I've heard in years.

(16,955 posts)at the beach -- and struck by lightning! So much for the stats about how rare it is to be struck by lightning after 14 people got zotted. Hope they are all okay!

(16,955 posts)On another note, it looks like that pilot did a great job of crash landing that plane! It didn't go into a nosedive or head over tail as they landed. What a miracle.
RE: Venice Beach -- I guess Florida also has an Orange County, and I live in Orange County, CA, so when I Google things sometimes, I get places in Florida and have to check and make sure I put my state in the search. I didn't know there was also a Venice Beach in Florida.
