Yes, Weed Kills Cancer! "CANNABINOIDS INCREASE LUNG CANCER CELL LYSIS" (Kills cancer cells)

Abstract

Cannabinoids have been shown to promote the expression of the intercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM-1) on lung cancer cells as part of their anti-invasive and antimetastatic action. Using lung cancer cell lines (A549, H460) and metastatic cells derived from a lung cancer patient, the present study addressed the impact of cannabinoid-induced ICAM-1 on cancer cell adhesion to lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cells and LAK cell-mediated cytotoxicity.

Cannabidiol (CBD), a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, enhanced the susceptibility of cancer cells to adhere to and subsequently lysed by LAK cells, with both effects being reversed by a neutralizing ICAM-1 antibody. Increased cancer cell lysis by CBD was likewise abrogated when CBD-induced ICAM-1 expression was blocked by specific siRNA or by antagonists to cannabinoid receptors (CB1, CB2) and to transient receptor potential vanilloid 1.

In addition, enhanced killing of CBD-treated cancer cells was reversed by preincubation of LAK cells with an antibody to lymphocyte function associated antigen-1 (LFA-1) suggesting intercellular ICAM-1/LFA-1 crosslink as crucial event within this process. ICAM-1-dependent pro-killing effects were further confirmed for the phytocannabinoid ?9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and R(+)-methanandamide, a stable endocannabinoid analogue.

Finally, each cannabinoid elicited no significant increase of LAK cell-mediated lysis of non-tumor bronchial epithelial cells, BEAS-2B, associated with a far less pronounced (CBD, THC) or absent (R(+)-methanandamide) ICAM-1 induction as compared to cancer cells. Altogether, our data demonstrate cannabinoid-induced upregulation of ICAM-1 on lung cancer cells to be responsible for increased cancer cell susceptibility to LAK cell-mediated cytolysis. These findings provide proof for a novel antitumorigenic mechanism of cannabinoids.

was up many years ago, makes me want to send someone to prison for growing his own personal pot for his own personal cancer.

If you search for Dr. Levy on youtube "Vitamin C, antidote to all toxins" you will find similar information, Dr. Jeanne Drisko has clinical trials going on with high dose IVC and cancer. At a high enough level your body can produce hydrogen peroxide. It seems to have an ability to go after unhealthy cells and leave healthy ones alone and that has something to do with an enzyme "catalase". Me personally, I want to make my own liposomal C. C wrapped in lecithin, you can do it in your kitchen with nothing more than an ultrasonic cleaner.

But I do wish they would have phrased it differently. We live in a society where an owner of a language school did not know or understand the word "homophone". I saw this phrasing and had to read it twice, and I am familiar with "lysis". Many people may not know that means breaking down. They may think it is saying it increases lung cancer cells.

I don't know how the government can keep up their act about this plant in the face of these findings.

Then I realized that was just silly. They aren't going to read anything like that anyway.

have known this for years.

The Feds have US patent #6630507 (search and see) and the NIH has this:

The big pharms dont have cannabinoids synthesized yet. So more people suffer for corp. profits.

I really wish I believed in hell, there are alot of people who deserve a few century's in pergitory for causing suffering for the fucking profit.

Oh, and my ma died from cancer...
