http://money.cnn.com/2014/08/01/news/economy/middle-class-jobs/index.html?hpt=hp_t2All I keep hearing from anti-Obama DUers is "These improved job numbers are all restaurant waiter/waitress, fastfood, and other low wage jobs."
BULLSHIT!!!
The chart in the link shows that Low Wage jobs have remained steady since Jan '13. The last six months has shown a decreasing trend. Since Jan '13, high and middle wage jobs have increased since that time.
BUT, BUT, BUT, the president can't help or hurt the economy...more bullshit. The economy is not a ruderless, gov't independant entity. Every, EVERY economic, military, diplomatic, domestic, and budget making decision by a president has some effect on the economy. Immediate or long term. No single decision completely causes a collapse or rebound, but the cumulative effect cannot be underestimated.
Enough of the Bullshit. Democrats are good for the economy, Repukes are disastrous.

Yeah, I took apart a couple of these "all/most of the new jobs are part-time" canards last month

(8,830 posts)1. I would advise you to spend some time
looking at the BLS data and prove or disprove this assertion for yourself.
You might also want to try for a little more nuance in your vulgar assessment of opinions with which you disagree - if you're able.

(1,260 posts)8. Did you see the chart in the link?
What trends do you see on that chart? I saw increasing Middle and High paying jobs gains and decreasing low paying jobs. What "male bovine feces" happy now) did you see?

I've applied to more jobs this year than I have in the past 3 years combined.
Even have gotten a couple of interviews.

What line of work are you in? What part of the country? Maybe I can help. Feel free to response via a personal message.

I've seen threads about the new jobs being part-time...

for my dissection of both the Table A-8 part-time numbers and the Table A-9 part-time numbers. (Of the two links above, the first one above, #48, best illustrates the volatility of the data series and is the easier read)
In both cases, the post I rebutted made a big hoo-hah of one month's change in a very volatile data series (part-time jobs) where most of the month-to-month data variation is noise. (Well in fairness, the one I rebut in #post48 gave both the one month change and the one year change, to his/her credit).
That was last month's job report. Fortunately the latest (August 1 report for July) doesn't have any one-month part-time job changes that the righties can fool with, so they will have to pick another aberrant statistic of the month to make it sound like the economy is collapsing into the trash heap. So far I haven't seen any of those today, but I have my eyes peeled.

That's like a Repuke saying "Who are these racists in the GOP?" or "What is this GOP War on Women that Liberals fuss about?"
A Repuke is not going to say "I hate all non-White males" directly, but their words and policies strongly support that diagnosis.
Same with the anti-Obama DUers. They won't say that hate Obama directly. Instead, they twist every good news to bad, or downplay it with the standard Faux News talking point.
Really, you don't see that?

(36,108 posts)11. Thank you for taking 12 days to consider your response
No, disliking Obama's policies is not the same as disliking Obama
But you probably know that

(1,260 posts)12. Thank you for noticing that I have a life outside DU
Really, that's the best you got? A snarky response and rolling eyes?
I travel a lot for my job, and I'm working on an advanced engineering degree. I don't have the time or motivation to live on DU like you do.
Now, it is true that disliking Obama's policies is not the same as disliking Obama personally. Opposite is also true. I disliked Clinton personally, but I celebrate the majority of his presidential policies. I liked, still like, H.W. Bush personally. Never want to see another presidency like his again! Reagan and W were fecal matter to me both personally and professionally.
Here's another truth, Middle and High paying jobs are coming back. Another truth, Low wage jobs are decreasing. You knew none of that. Now you do...and you've been mentally freed from the ignorance associated with that Faux News talking point forever.
You're Welcome.
Now, back to life. Until I return in another 2-4 weeks, All the Best.
