Gaza Strip: 'Palestinian Genocide is Permissible' Claims Israeli Writer

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/gaza-strip-palestinian-genocide-permissible-claims-israeli-writer-1459390

A Jewish blogger has advocated genocide as a "permissible" way to achieve the goal of a sustainable peace in Israel.

Yochanan Gordon, who is from New York, posted on the Times of Israel an op-ed entitled "When Genocide is Permissible" in which he argues that the only way to deal with Hamas is using an extreme measure of punishment.

"We have already established that it is the responsibility of every government to ensure the safety and security of its people," he wrote. "If political leaders and military experts determine that the only way to achieve its goal of sustaining quiet is through genocide is it then permissible to achieve those responsible goals?"

The second paragraph of the article says he's a New Yorker.

I've often wondered if 'stop and frisk' and the treatment of Palestinians weren't somehow related.

Of course, I realize it is unheard of for an Israeli to be from New York, but it strikes me as ambiguous as-written.

Times of Israel lets pretty much anyone blog about Jewish life/Israel if they want.

Very soon after this particular blogger posted this piece, it was taken down and the blogger was banned from the Israeli site.

The blog entry was spread when someone took a cached version of the already deleted blog post and started making a stink about it (even though it had already been deleted).

No one would have known about it otherwise since it was deleted so quickly.
