In honor of Hiroshima Day...the Peace Prayer

Lead us from death to life,
From falsehood to trust, from despair to hope,
from fear to trust.
Lead us from hate to love, from war to peace.
Let peace fill our hearts,
Let peace fill our world,
Let peace fill our universe.
Peace, peace, peace.
-Adapted from the Upanishads(an ancient Hindu text).

(Note: the verse was introduced on the contemporary scene at a Hiroshima Day service at Westminster Abbey in 1981 and has since been translated into numerous languages and received global circulation).

(for those who wish a more secular way to say it...you could change "Lead us" into "Lead ourselves", I suppose).
