We'll never be royals, but that's ok.
My friends and I have cracked the code
We count our dollars on the train to the party
And everyone who knows us knows
That we're fine with this, we didn't come from money
Thanks.
Love the remake. I hope to see much more from this group:

(10,103 posts)A couple are somewhat mismatched in their religious views: he believes in reincarnation, she is a Christian. They make a deal that when one of them goes to the great beyond, wherever that is, the other will try to contact the living partner and tell them who is correct.
By and by, the man dies. After a day or two, the wife arranges a seance, hoping that her husband will contact her. He does, and when she asks him where he is and what it's like, he says, "It's beautiful here. There's lots of clear water, and blue skies and green grass, and lots of willing young things with big brown eyes...." She huffs, "WELL, I never thought heaven would be like that."
He responds, "Who said anything about heaven??? I'm a bull in Montana..."

(2,825 posts)I would often go out to one of the pastures where about forty cows were grazing (they rotated the pastures). I would sit down among the dandelions and grass ("cowpies", "meadow muffins" were not every where cause the pastures were so large). Then I would sing some nice, innocent soft songs from childhood--started doing this when I was about 8 years old, and the cows, would slowly come over to me. They would at first stare at me, and then encircle me. Some would softly moo--is that called lowing? Then many would start grazing again and stay near me.
I think back and realize I may have been in a kind of meditative state.
I know I was really really happy and feeling at peace. The cows appeared to me to feel the same way, as well

(86,821 posts)I lived in an old farmhouse in rural New England with several young hippie-types. We had no livestock but the neighbors up the road did. One day a house-mate took his saxophone out to the yard and started playing and the (nearly) exact same thing happened, all the cows from the neighbor's showed up and did the call and response thing with him for nearly half an hour. We thought that was pretty cool.
Kind of gives you a rather clear timeframe on just how long partying til the cows come home will last! Kind of a short party.

(146,336 posts)I remember a time, way back when I was in high school. I had a motorcycle, and one day I rode up a long dirt rode on a hill. Near the top, I encountered a small herd of beef cattle near the road. They were all looking at me and the motorcycle. So, I stopped and shut off the engine. Slowly, the steers approached and formed a circle around me. They just stood there and looked at me. I stayed there for a while, then started the engine and started to ride on. The circle parted just enough for me to pass.
The feeling I got from all of this was that they were thinking, "What the hell is that?" "What the hell is that?" "What the hell is that?" "What the hell is that?"
