Fox’s Dr. Keith Ablow Attacks Michelle Obama’s Weight: ‘She Needs To Drop A Few’

Dr. Keith Ablow, a member of the Fox News Medical A-Team on Tuesday asserted that First Lady Michelle Obama was not qualified to fight for better child nutrition because she needed to “drop a few” pounds.

On Monday, nearly 500 retired generals and other military leaders in the group Mission: Readiness sided with Michelle Obama against House Republicans, who were pushing a measure to allow schools to opt out of nutritional standards.

On the Tuesday episode of Out Numbered, Fox Business host Kennedy Montgomery accused the federal government of “projecting these standards upon us.” “And Michelle Obama is so… she’s the duchess when she speaks,” Kennedy quipped. She’s kind of annoying though,” co-host Kimberly Guilfoyle agreed.
But it wasn’t Ms. Obama’s tone that bothered Ablow. “What is she eating?” he asked. “She needs to drop a few.”
That sentiment elicited a collective gasp from the four women on the panel. “You did not just say that!” co-host Harris Faulkner exclaimed, wondering if the control room could use its seven-second delay to stop the comments from airing. “We’re taking nutritional advice from who?” Ablow opined. “Let’s be honest. There’s not French fries? That’s all kale and carrots? I don’t buy it.” http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/08/12/foxs-keith-ablow-attacks-michelle-obamas-weight-she-needs-to-drop-a-few/

Typical RW tactic. Nothing is wrong with the health advice FLOTUS gives, so deflect by going ad hom.

Guess what? Cheap, shitty shots are easy. Watch.

We're getting criticism of of good nutritional advice from whom?

Not to mention that this guy is supposedly a psychologist. Is this what responsible psychologists do? Shame attractive people based on their weight?

BTW, who furnished his home? Dracula? Because, apparently, there are no mirrors.

the ones with the weight problem.

I know this is a generalization, but we've seen this in the media before, especially with Rush Limbaugh.

Almost any discussion about Michelle and her food awareness programs include either that direct quote or some clever ( to them) wink wink about her weight

This makes me mad, very mad.

I'm pleased that even on Fox, the women responded with outrage.

I hope Jimmy Fallon or someone drop kicks this jerk. Gives him a dose of his own medicine.

If Fox had any dignity or respect for itself and its listeners, it would drop this obviously-stupid 'doctor' from its line-up, pronto. From a medical stand point, the First Lady is at her ideal weight, it seems quite obvious. It's only from a Hollywood, rail thin fashion model point of view that a loathsome cur would even say she needs to lose weight.

Course we know it won't happen.

Negative comments of perfectly healthy female bodies because they don't fit some media ideal. Naturally he carries more excess weight than she does, but then he's a man. He doesn't need to look like someone on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
