I still remember the sounds of the police drumming on their shields as they chased down protestors in the days after the main march.

I was just a few days out of eye surgery when the police let off tear gas outside my apartment building.

And even closing the windows didn't help in many of the older buildings.

They're not for using against people, but tear gas launchers aren't supposed to be used like a bean bag round, tasers aren't supposed to be compliance tools, etc. So it isn't like the intended purpose of a weapon matters.

A child/young man was shot by police in St. Louis. He was shot 10 times all in all and he had his hands over his head. HE WAS SHOT BY THE POLICE.

The images you present was an all out hunt for 2 people that were sought for the murder of three and those that lost multiple limbs at the Boston Marathon. It was an act of terrorism and the police responded. I do not find your post the least bit amusing. I had loved ones there that day.

I understand the need for riot police and protecting the public interest, but there is no fucking reason in the world a man walking ON THE SIDEWALK, UNARMED should have no fewer than 3 assault rifles aimed at him as he is clearly in a defensive position.

Every officer in that picture is a disgrace and the ones with raised weapons should be fired IMMEDIATELY.

This shit has to end or there will be open warfare on police. Roadside IED's. Sniper fire. Suicide bombings of police stations. These horrors and more await the jack booted thugs if they do not realize the police are NOT the goddamned army or marines. A Temporary Flight Restriction is in place for the area above Ferguson until August 18th. The FAA says no pilots may operate an aircraft in the areas covered by this order unless authorized by authorities. This gives police helicopters a monopoly in the airspace.

Part of me almost wants to cry and part of me wants to rage. The warnings about these types of police tactics are being ignored by the media. My wife is Black (I capitalize it) and the look in her eyes when she sees this type of brutality in this nation says it all. She spent a year 6 miles from the Somali border and has seen some things, but this really bothers her.

I can only hope Justice is served, ultimately and more tolerance is applied equally.

Police are very brave when it comes to shooting a unarmed man. I wonder how brave they would be if the people started shooting back?

And the sad thing is, all the police need to do to stop the violence is to enforce the law. You shoot a unarmed man, you go to jail. I have no doubt that I would be sitting in jail right now if I was the one who shot the unarmed man. Arrest the police officer, put him on trial, and the violence stops, simple as that.

Treat the shooter like any other suspected murderer. Put him in jail pending trial, and let the chips fall where they may.
