Actually, both statements are correct
The media is at fault. It is lazy, prone to conventional wiz-dumb, and too insular, especially in DC.
And, the president IS at fault for not selling his agenda harder. That means using the bully pulpit, that means sitting down and entertaining his enemas, and that means twisting arms on his side of the aisle, three things this president refuses to do.

That said, UpChuck will be another disaster.
