I Have Pretty Much Lost My Patience With Republiturds.

I am usually very tolerant of things. I cannot even kill a spider unless it is a black widow spider or something really poisonous and I even do that with sadness. However, I am losing all patience with the sadism and cruelty of Republicans. You can't talk to them and if you say a thing they snarl at you at assault you and shut you up. Their mean hatefulness these days are just too much. I hear so much hateful racist and bigoted chatter than it makes me furious.

Everyone reaches a point of no return and I know that this election will push things past that point for many of us including me. The hatred and vitriol increases by the day. And they are egging for a fight. At some point they are going to get one. My feelings anymore is if I see a Republican in trouble I will just not help them at all.

I am generally a live and let live person, but I am bothered by the elminationist rhetoric that GOP operatives have made it clear that they will not let progressives or Democrats live in peace.

I am still bothered by that old a-hole with the half million dollar boat who gave me grief about my "Turn Off Fox" sticker on my car when I was in California in January. I was tempted to verbally assault the jerk but I just let him rant and rave. I recently put my 1st Cav. patch on my car with my service ribbon and when I was in Vietnam. And I wonder if that old fart would have said anything if he knew I was in a combat unit. I have never really advertised my service until now. I am now prepared to let people know that I served and where and they can expect grief from me if they say anything. I will no longer unilaterally disarm and be silent.

2. I Really Don't Want To Feel The Way I Do

Addendum - I really do not want to feel the way that I do but I feel that I am running out of options. Republicans expect everyone else to shut up and go away. They have the attitude that they are the only ones who should have the right to vote and that Voter ID is ok because it keeps Democrats and others not voting for them from voting.

In Colorado Secretary Of State helped kill legislation that would have allowed inactive voters get a ballot. The main reason the GOP protested was because it would help democrats win elections. As a veteran it really infuriates me because it brings back memories of guys who did not make it home from Vietnam except in a metal box. I found the pic of one of my best friends recently who did not make it. He did not die of a chicom grenade so GOP asshole thought that Democrats or poor people or old people or young people should not vote because they would vote to raise taxes on some fascist asshole who lives in the life of luxury on stolen money they made by screwing workers.
'
But what else can I feel when I think of a dear friend like Craig who was from Phoenix Arizona no less. Taking the votes of legitimate American over some phony piss ant excuse of voter fraud when when the GOP has committed election fraud numerous times and plan to do it again in 2012 is just too much to ask. If I had my way people like Ryan would be turned over to the world court. Put in prison with the key thrown away.

People like him are the real enemies of this country and mock the sacrifices of our vets. And to make matters even worse his budget would cut veterans benefits.

You, sir, are a Patriot.

Perhaps seeing your credentials displayed this way will give any idiot Republican pause.

I hope so.

I think we have all had it up to here with those a-holes. Their stupidity and lack of civility is maddening! But sometimes you just got to relax and chill out. Take a break from Politics for a couple of days. Go fishing if that's your thing. Fix that sink or build something. Get on your motorcycle and ride for a couple of days (that's what I like to do). Do whatever makes you happy and let the damn world turn without you for a little while. You know what I mean? Then come back fresh and ready to fight. But fight those idiots at the ballot box! Fight them by influencing votes and donating time and money to worthy campaigns (if you can spare it). But try not to waste another braincell getting pissed off. Take care amigo! Thanks for your service.

They always profess to be tough yet they crumple in a conflict. There are many dems here who are veterans who have earned the right to speak for what they feel is right just like you. As a vet myself I always ask them first if they have ever served and usually I find the most annoying ones haven't. Then I tell them to sign up and get back to me when they have the courage to put their money where their mouth is. Then I tell em Faux news is a bunch of candy ass closet angry spineless sociopathic bigots with repressed homosexual urges. They usually crumple like paper bags at that point. I've not met one Republican yet that can handle the truth when it comes right at them.

and yet you start by calling them "republiturds" and that you are tempted to "verbally assault" people who give you "grief" and that you are prepared to give others "grief" if they "say anything".

You say that "the hatred and vitriol increase by the day" but unfortunately the place I see it increasing is here. We are selective in a number of ways, and so are our media people. Some people seem determined to dfivide America into two tribes - or as I call them, gangs, the Sharks and the Jets. They look for ways to prove to all Jets that the Sharks have jumped the shark. Every outrageous thing they say or do is brought before the group, so we can all exclaim "look at how evil and stupid the Sharks are" (Let's get ready to rumble). If they don't actually do something evil and stupid, well we can twist and selectively edit what they said, so that we can proclaim how stupid it is, and how evil they are.

Witness, for example, the selective editing on the Today show of Zimmerman's 911 call. Witness the way LarryO becomes a Rush Limbaugh for the left http://dailyhowler.blogspot.com/2012/04/childhoods-end-death-of-dream.html It's like Network. They want you to be mad, they want to stir up anger, because it keeps people watching their shows. We don't want to watch any boring discussion of rational adults who disagree. No, we want to see him "Give 'em hell, Larry" and use the claw on Mad Dog Hannity. Except, it is all fake on TV, but it can have real world consequences.

When both sides are encouraged to "go ahead and hate your neighbor ... do it in the name of heaven, justify it in the end" then it may explode into real world violence, riots and civile war, and "on the bloody morning after" "one tin soldier rides away".

I personally do not want a war with conservatives, because as Jeanette Rankin said "You can no more win a war than you can win an earthquake."

13. I do not hate Republicans or conservatives

I hate what they are doing to my country and to the political process as a whole.

They have started what could charitably called a "war" -- one in which their stated goal is to take no prisoners. We can no longer have a rational political discourse with people whose idea of compromise is "do it my way."

The goal of the Republicans is to radically change this country. At first I thought they wanted to take us back to the "good old days" of the Fifties, then pre-New Deal. Now I am convinced they intend to take the country back to the way it was one moment before the last state ratified the Constitution. They want to eliminate the United States of America as we know it and replace it with some kind of Ayn Rand Christian corporate oligarchy.

When I served in the Air Force I took an oath to "protect and defend the Constitution." That document is under an all out attack by the Republicans and conservatives, and I can no longer sit and watch the Supreme Court remake the Constitution by its decisions like Citizens United and unwarranted strip search, or the president claim the power to assassinate an American citizen without a trial, just because he is out of the country.

I agree that the appropriate way to meet a political challenge is through voting. But the Republicans have thrown a brick wall around the ballot box with their false charges of "voter fraud" and all the voter suppression laws they have passed. We cannot get to the ballot box to cast our votes.

So they do what they want. We have a Supreme Court which has shown itself willing to overthrow the will of the people and appoint as president the person that five of them choose, to say that corporations are people and money is speech, and to eliminate any barrier between an innocent citizen and an intrusive strip search by the police for any reason or no reason at all.

If we can't make our voices heard through the accepted channels, then it's time to stand up and fight these motherf*ckers using other means. They may have more money and Fox News and the Koch brothers, but we have the truth, and in the end we will win. We will have defended the Constitution from an attack unlike any it has seen before. We will win. We must win.

For that is the legacy we will leave our children.

over this coming summer. I'm actually concerned that, for the first time in 44 years, we will see this nation burning.

We should however, realize that this is what the people that matter want. They have been putting the pieces in place for decades to "deal" with civil unrest.
