Michael Brown was shot in the head and chest multiple times, St. Louis County medical examiner Mary Case said Monday.
While Case declined to comment further, citing the ongoing investigation into Browns death, another person familiar with the countys investigation told The Washington Post that Brown had between six and eight gunshot wounds and was shot from the front.
In addition, Brown had marijuana in his system when he was shot and killed by a police officer on Aug. 9 in Ferguson, Mo., according to this person, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation.
The report from Cases office was released to the St. Louis County prosecutors office on Friday night but has not been made public. This report is part of the countys official investigation into the shooting, but it is one of three autopsies being conducted.

This is an improper response. Grounds for firing maybe maybe not, but if I was boss I sure would be looking for any reason to fire this person this breech of common sense if not a breech of policy.

(21,925 posts)As you say, it makes you mellow and I don't think it's a cliche as far as my own experience. It's put me maybe in a paranoid mood and a contemplative mood but never in a fighting mood.

(12,434 posts)I just find it troubling that the anti Brown supporters want to use it as a thug hoodlum mindset to validate the shooting.

(171,081 posts)Who gives a flying flip if he had weed in his system? I imagine more people smoke it than don't, it's becoming legal, and so what? Is this to prove he was a druggie? Then a lot of us are.

(12,434 posts)Did they even do a drug screen on the shooter? Drug screens are almost always done in traffic or industrial accidents....

(9,154 posts)The psyop of the past has often been that doing drugs destroys your brain and makes you violent -- violence of drug gangs being the alleged rationale for militarizing the police to protect life. But in this case, the psyop seems to be saying the opposite, that having marijuana traces in your system will be more likely to result in unarmed you getting murdered.

(10,952 posts)from the family authorized autopsy, there only looks like 1 shot to the upper right chest and 1 to the throat area. Then there are 2 shots to the head and numerous to this right arm. And I wonder if one of the arm shots went into his chest area because they are pretty close to each other. Dr. Baden indicated that only the last shot was fatal. For sure, this cop would never win any shooting awards in a contest. I think that he wanted to make sure that Brown wasn't going to walk away from him a second time.

(2,286 posts)If you drive a bus or a train and have an accident, drug screens are a mandatory part of the investigation. I've often wondered why this is not the case with cop shootings.
