We hear constantly that Barack Obama has been the most divisive President in history, primarily from Republicans.
But is it not the case that the Republican Party has criticized and opposed this President on every issue and at every turn? And haven't many Republicans resorted to name-calling and racial taunts against this President?
So, who has been the most divisive? In my opinion, the Republicans have done great harm to our country.

(15,438 posts)I had hoped that they wouldn't see it that way, but I can't deny any longer that this is exactly how they view this president. Should HRC win the presidency, they'll do the "We White men don't have to work with a woman, and that will be her fault - for being a woman". We'll get the same obstructionism that they've shown President Obama.
I know that Republicans really don't believe that any Democrat should win the White House. It's so ingrained in them that it's become part of their genetic makeup. But the unprecedented obstructionism I've noticed toward this president has broken any and all records of previous records. I believe they'll escalate their obstructionism should the next president be a woman.

That's all good and well in their private lives, but they shouldn't be in positions of power where they have to actually pass legislation to make this country stronger and her people more secured. That's why it baffles me that they keep getting elected. Have their constituents forgotten why we even have a government?

(7,300 posts)from the get go. His AG came from a firm whose clients were Wall Street through and through and who heavily financed his campaign. Who has been prosecuted for their financial crimes? What did we expect when the highest office is bought and paid for by the monied?
Repukians thought because of who bought him (throw in the insurance industry also) that things would go swimmingly. His diversion off their path was a divisive left hook. Your Dino's don't help one bit either so if you want to talk of divisiveness then you have to take in the whole picture.
