Football player who made up a ridiculous story of saving his nephew from drowning.
Apparently to hide the real reason he hurt his ankles...which had something to do with his gf.
See? Impossible to synopsize...

up a story that he was late on a delivery because he had witnessed a 7-year-old girl being decapitated.
Both lies were extreme and bizarre--and bound to be debunked. It makes you wonder what sort of fantasy land people like that live in that they don't realize how easy it is for their stories to get checked out.
On Edit: I saw this comment from someone on another article. This could explain what happened and why he didn't want to explain it publicly:
Word on campus is he was cheating with GF's roommate and she came home so he went out the window.
