I wore Khaki Tan pants today with a cream shirt.
I think all of you should hold me in shame for wearing such garish colors?
Really - now we criticize the president for the suit colors he is wearing? These troglodytes need to get a life. If I wanted the fashion police I'd read Joan Rivers, barring that as long as the man is dressed decently who gives a flying rat's ass what color the suit is?

(21,046 posts)A lot of people look dead in tan or beige or brown. But who cares?

In your case, I don't believe anybody will care what color your suit is, depending of course on what color you are.

(46,757 posts)I wore khaki pants with a red lacroste shirt. But I had a 50% chance of being mistaken for a Target salesperson, rather than a preppy.

(95,337 posts)on the other hand I really didn't like Tan on him. Wasn't his color but then again I don't really care that he wore tan!

(56,912 posts)sheesh ... some people.
I really think, as a couple, The Obamas present themselves well. They have a casual elegance about them that I find very appealing.

(60,010 posts)When biden was running, he wore a lot of tan/beige suits.
I emailed his campaign, asking someone to tell him how dull and washed out he looked in that color
and that he should wear dark rich greys and blues.
3 weeks later, he had started wearing the dark colors and has not been publicly seen in tan again.
Believe it or not....
tan is a difficult color to wear for most people.

(33,688 posts)They are timelessly funny. Though I don't know if Jeeves would approve of such a jacket. His views on what a gentleman should wear are quite conservative.
Slim, good looking guys like Obama can wear anything and look good. I am jealous.

My Grandpa owned a light blue seersucker suit back in the day.
He would wear to church on Sundays in the summer, deep south.
He had a nice straw panama to wear with it, too.
I think seersucker gets a bad rap.
I always liked the fabric ... that and linen are good in summer months in the deep south.
Nice chatting with you, must dash. Ciao!

(2,100 posts)Remember, no president in US history every went without a jacket in the Oval Office until Obama. You've never seen pictures of Nixon, Reagan or Bush in the Oval Office without a proper suit jacket. Only Obama has disrespected the office of the president so. Probably a signal to his Muslim Brotherhood overlords.

what you or the president choose to wear. Could.not.care.less.
Actually, LynneSin, I think you probably looked adorable, for what that's worth.
So, I would have left this uncommented, except that I decided to let the world know that I don't fucking care.
Eta: I will now put the word tan into my trash can to prevent any further aggravation.
Also, I really don't care.

You can wear anything you like as long as you're careful about the important stuff.

(32,088 posts)I would like to say that all the criticism of it surprises me, but sadly, it doesn't. But, in general, I don't give a shit what color his or any other person's suit is. I really don't understand why anyone else cares. "Troglodytes", indeed.
