If I were a member of the GOP, I, too, would be very unhappy with Mittens.

He is a terrible candidate. That has nothing to do with party or ideology. He is a just plain terrible candidate.

Last cycle they had gramps. At least he had a reputation and a strong identifier as a "maverick". He had a story and a history as a war hero. Romney has none of that.

We have known for a while the GOP, internally, is a party at war with itself. This primary cycle has made that clear and obvious everyone. As the party has become more extreme, they find themselves unable to agree on anything. The result of this internal conflict is the cluster fuck we are seeing now. The result is this stiff as a board, out of touch, socially inept, tone deaf, unlikeable man becoming the standard bearer of their party. The delicious irony is that he used purely GOP currencies - money and unregulated opposition ads - to beat them.

It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.
