Sen. Dianne Feinstein on @meetthepress: President Obama 'too cautious' on ISIS http://nbcnews.to/1pYSfsk

8:53 AM - 31 Aug 2014

I, and many Americans, have had it up to our eyeballs with greedy Military Industrial Complex shills like Dianne Feinstein!! What the hell is wrong with these MIC stooges, regardless of party affiliation? And Dianne Feinstein’s incessant disrespect towards the leader of her own party and President of this country is all the more unforgivable! Did she stop to look in the mirror to examine that her own shortsighted votes in Congress metastasized the deep canker tearing the Middle East apart? Or worse that her greedy actions to shovel taxpayer $$$ to defense contractors like her husband have nasty consequences?

How many Americans does she want DEAD and MAIMED just when President Obama has toiled to clean up the mess of the last blunder of a war under George Bush, that she voted for? It is bad enough that we have war snake oil salesmen McCain, Graham and Mike Rogers preening daily in front of cameras with being held accountable for their dangerous and always inconsistent warmongering statements. They wanted us arming ISIS to the teeth in Syria last year. Now they turn around and Chicken Little about ISIS in Iraq means the Caliphate is at America’s doorstep!! Sheesh!!

****

How about we get a buy-in from the many factions inside the strained powder keg that is Iraq, especially Sunnis who are vital to any strategy to root out ISIS? They must be assured that their interests are better served in a national coalition with Shia and Kurds AGAINST ISIS precisely because ISIS is claiming to act on their behalf having been shut out of power by Al Maliki’s government. That delicate cultivation of a NATIONAL front against the terrorists is EXACTLY what President Obama is working on in order to neutralize the potential for BLOWBACK that sustained military action against ISIS could generate. But NO!!! Dianne Feinstein finds cheap thrill in playing to the cameras of our moribund media. The conniving media then latches onto her words like they did Hillary’s 3 weeks ago to malign President Obama.

****

I fear for this country come 2016. I fear that we may indeed have to choose between weak-kneed candidates from either party who care more about vanity catcalls to be “tough” from irresponsible media and war profiteers, than deal with complex global problems with surgical precision. And we all know the disastrous results of the lure of waving phalluses, than being diligent statesmen and women.

Diane Feinstein and her fellow 1%ers are hellbent on never giving us ordinary Americans breathing space to recover our disappearing economic security. No they suck and suck and suck a the teat of our government to fatten their coffers while sending us to be cannon fodder for their wars.

Sick sick sick!!!

While directing finances on the UC Regents, Blum was investing in ways that would indirectly benefit himself, meanwhile, tuition was implemented (it was originally not in the UC master plan) and later skyrocketed throughout the UC system).

http://www.berkeleydailyplanet.com/issue/2010-09-21/article/36292?headline=The-Investors-Club-How-the-University-of-California-Regents-Spin-Public-Money-into-Private-Profit

All she does is send out canned replies to constituent inquiries: she doesn't even reference the matter at hand - she just references a keyword that connects what is in the media at the minute, and she will take the media's side against the constituent issue!!!

I for one don't appreciate your attack on Senator Feinstein who has a lifetime record of fighting for progressive causes and underdogs everywhere going back to her days as a Supervisor and later Mayor in San Francisco. She has has been one of the leading advocates for gun control in the congress.

Also, many liberals and Democrats advocate taking on ISIS and for good reason.

'Progressive' and 'Third Way' (pronounced 'Turd Way') do not even belong in the same sentence, especially one disussing DiFi.

Anyone here at DU ought to know the full history of failure brought to us by Turd Way Democrats, from the repeal of Glass-Steagal to the Iraq War, and so much in-between. And the Gun Control issue, how did that work out for Dems in 1996, and 2010 besides?

Turd Way turns our Congress to shit, where Dems and Repubs are allied toward shitty, corrupt ends: trillions poured into unnecessary wars and bank bailouts.

So if your user name and post are cleverly disguised satire, I applaud you! You've done a fine job of highlighting how the authoritarian corrupt personality of a Turd Way 'Democrat' like DiFi can be all about grabbing guns away from peaceable US citizens while flooding some other part of the globe with US military hardware and bloodshed.

But if your post is serious...

Pres.Obama is just being methodical on his approach to the ongoing menace that is I.S. in Iraq and on the border on the northern part of Syria. This threat must be fought by the people in the region, and no American boots on the ground should be participating on what is essentially a religious war within Islam.

Nobody mentioned religion/ethnicity but you. I appreciate your honesty in your DU profile - it helps to evaluate someone's post to know where their personal interests lie. If you were the Michael Goldman who was a VP at Chemical Bank/now J.P. Morgan, you're not going to like the comments about Big Banking on DU, but I certainly understand why you support corporatist Hillary/Goldman-Sachs/Clinton for President.

Look, I am sure that HRC will be at least slightly less odious than her Republican opponent. And that's been the Turd Way campaign for the past twenty years, hasn't it? Vote for us, cuz otherwise an even shittier Republican will get in. How inspiring!

I'll say it now, and bookmark it for later. HRC will not be president of these United States. She is far too corporatist and hawkish for the Democratic base (myself included). I sincerely hope that she crashes and burns in the Primary, as she already seems inclined to do. But she certainly is campaigning, though I'm not sure what she hopes to gain by tilting rightward. The right wing views her as the shrill, scolding, nanny-stater, ultra-liberal-bogeywoman of nightmares, and they will all be voting Repub if Hilary is the Dem.

Hillary Clinton genuinely seems to be triangulating herself to a place where she is hated by virtually everybody.

As for the Second Amendment, it has been a core part of our Bill of Rights for more than 230 years, and I will stand by it (and the rest of the BoR) as long as I live.

We really need to flush the Senate of everyone who voted in favor of the Iraq War, as Feinstein did. That one vote showed such irredeemably poor judgement, and she just keeps compounding that horrific mistake.

I sure hope President Obama doesn't listen to these people who were so obscenely wrong in taking our beloved country to war based on obvious fairy tales. I wish the media would shut them out. Sigh.

Why do I watch Sunday shows, especially MTP, it has really gone downhill. Andrea Mitchell blech and Chuck Todd, even worse. I don't understand what all these yappers want Obama to do. Just bomb Syria without thought? I was sick over Foley's beheading and yes ISIS is a cancer but it is a cancer for the WORLD, not just the US. Iran has more stake in ISIS not spreading than the US. Why don't they freaking go bomb them? What about China and Russia? Do they really think they will be immune when they have Muslim populations they term terrrorists? As far as I can see, Obama has done the right things by acting when there is a clear goal and clear allies in the fight, ie Mosul dam and Amerli. Shouldn't it take time to make a plan and build a coalition rather than going in with guns blazing? All these critics have something to say but they have no plan. They don't know what the objective is. Defeat ISIS they say. Have we defeated Al qaeda? How exactly are we going to defeat ISIS with no partners in Syria? Are we going to send troops to Syria? The American public has shown they have no stomach for any more wars, sending any more troops to the ME, so how exactly do all these geniuses expect to defeat ISIS? I hear these idiots all saying the same crap about having the Kurds and some of the Iraqi forces on the ground. Well yeah, that's EXACTLY what Obama is doing, but clearly they are not ENOUGH, as there aren't that many of them and I don't think we can use them in Syria cause that would complicate things even more! It is unbelievable how everyone has something to say, how they parrot one another, and say the same damn inane things and just criticize, criticize, criticize, but none of them really has any solution and do not show any insight. It seems to me taking the time to make a plan and build a coalition as Obama is doing is the right path to take. We don't need the US to go it alone and just react without thought as some of these hotheads seem to want.
