What are you saying? Are you saying that you think some cops in a different state shot and killed a white kid to take the heat off the cops in Ferguson? That seems pretty far-fetched.

Are you saying that shooting this white kid somehow detracts from awareness of police militarization? That does not follow.

And your unfounded speculation about why they mentioned epilepsy is just that. Unfounded. And then you have that ridiculous sentence about providing comfort to white privilege.

Police militarization and police violence is a very real problem. And while it disproportionately affects people of color, it does affect people of all colors.

This is another case of police unnecessarily killing somebody. Not some weird conspiracy.

I question their diligence of police when dealing with people about whom they have made assumptions and speculating about worst possible scenarios.

As for the mention of epilepsy, that was a criticism of the media reporting an unrelated piece of information that has the potential to cloud the basic facts of the story.

I am saying that since this happened in a situation that did not involve militarized police, it makes it easier to defend the shootings and the militarization.

story of this young mans funeral and asked why it was not on national TV. It's because there was not as much of an outcry from the community.
I think this story and the one about the killing in St. Louis city the week after Michael Brown needs us all to sit up and take notice that many police do not have the ability to deal with mentally ill people.
That's an every color person problem. I guess we could work on that more productively if we weren't still dealing with bigotry from racism.
