Are unauthorized people (e.g., Libyan residents not specifically invited) jumping in the pool?

some militia group doing some serious diving into the pool at the Embassy Compound in Libya.

Videos have emerged on social media showing armed militia in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, diving into the swimming pool inside the abandoned US embassy compound.

US staff left the compound in July because of security concerns. Now armed militia are reported to have taken control of the compound, which they showed off to journalists at the weekend.

We abandoned it....and what else is there to do? Good use for propaganda...but, if it was us we'd do the same. We did it in Iraq, for sure. Remember how we abused Saddam's Palace? It's just soldier fun.... much as we don't like it...

It's war..... "Unending war" according to Obama's General Martin Dempsey last week at a Press Conference with SOD Chuck Hagel."

I can't remember his name but he worked hard with diplomacy to stop the Iraq Invasion down to the wire. He was very well spoken and seemed like a nice guy..spoke perfect English...and all the rest.

When they raided and pillaged his house they found videos of "Sleepless in Seattle" and a bunch of Western Movies that he and his family watched which were movies that all of us in America had loved. I think there were a few Chevy Chase movies in there, too. It was really mainstream America family type of movies for that time. All his personal stuff was looted and thrown out and WaPo and NYT's took great pleasure in that. I thought it was dreadful. But, after seeing what our Diplomatic Reps like Samantha Power and Jan Psaki say these days....I wouldn't be shocked at anything. But, for that time...I thought it was shocking because I grew up when Diplomats didn't behave like "Animal House" characters...as fun as that movie was...it was sort of not like one would think you would find dealing with running our Government ...when you grew up.

But, that's just my personal view. I may be out of touch...I often feel so...these days.

the display of Saddam's 'palace' - nasty mean-spirited propaganda. They should show some of their own opulence.

one of them is going to break their neck by hitting the bottom or side of the pool.

I don't really care what happens to the embassy. We've destroyed Libya. What pisses me off seeing that is taxpayers pay for diplomats to have pools. I think they make enough money to take vacations at hotels with pools.
