At the point Zimmerman gets officially charged..

... with whatever crime, should he fail to turn himself in, would it be considered "aiding and abetting" for people to continue to contribute to web panhandling site?

I certainly hope so and further hope that those doing so will be prosecuted and jailed like any other common criminal.

it is a defense fund BUT george uses it to escape I believe that would be an added charge of Fraud.

My hope is that George is actually in custody BEFORE the news conference.

to the public and political pressure. Otherwise, they will get their asses handed to them at trial. Also, the Martin family and friends had better be prepared for the avalanche of investigation that is about to upend their lives even further. Zimmerman's defense team will have a nearly absolute right to pry into Trayvon's past and make it public. It is unfortunate, but that's the way our legal system works.

operates, and how it might affect this case. To your point; I believe that anyone who helped him avoid the authorities after an arrest warrant is issued would be complicit in "aiding and abetting" a fugitive. But, simply donating to a website to help his defense fund, for instance, would be legal. That may be a gray area, though. The technology may be ahead of the law.

Prosecutors have an ethical obligation not to bring a case they don't believe they can prove beyond a reasonable doubt.
