Murder-suicide plot leads to more questions: was victim himself a 'monster'?

Scott Rogers was a dance instructor and later a television host. His death at the hands of a former partner seemed to only bring on more puzzlement. Had Rogers in fact, during his time at a school in England, been a leader of a 'cult-like' environment? Did he abuse the pupils under his charge?
