Bush's Daughters are Not Republicans

Neither of former President George W. Bush's twin daughters are registered as Republicans, the New York Daily News reports.

Jenna Bush Hager mistakenly signed up with the Independence Party in New York when she meant to declare herself an independent. Records show her sister, Barbara, is registered to vote in Texas as unaffiliated with any party.

I always thought they had potential. I bet Laura would rather not vote republican, too.

Edit- I'm on my first cup of coffee so that may not make complete sense.

Jenna, on the other hand, is married to a guy who was heavily involved in GOP politics. A lot of Independents are basically Republicans who are embarrassed by the crazies in the party.

No one has any control over who their parent are- we just get what we get.

The first time I talked to her we spend about thirty minutes bitching about the Iraq war. Her best friend at Yale was the self proclaimed biggest blackest gayest man on campus (also an awesome guy.)

I only met her sister once but she was also very sweet and super polite. One thing that struck me the most is that on a campus full of stuck up self entitled assholes the Presidents daughter was a stark contrast in her humility and humanity.

I just love hearing about famous people being nice in real life. It's such a nice surprise, especially when the people in question could totally get away with being unpleasant but choose not to.

8. As far as Barbara being register to vote in Texas w/o party affiliation

that is the way it is. There is no place on the registration form for party affiliation. When you vote in a primary your registration card is stamped with the party of the primary you voted in. So Barbara could be a member of any party but would not be registered as such.
