USA's Middle East policy in a nutshell.

Basically arming all sides to gin-up sectarian violence, destabilizing the ME immeasurably.

And of course, we're expected to believe this has "nothing to do" with oil.

has been an explicit and open objective of our foreign policy for many decades. Our state-to-state relationship with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf nations is openly based on that objective.

I'd be happy to leave that stinking stuff in the ground -- but that's not going to happen.
