The z punk is not someone who would be easily defended.

But then again I'm talking about a lawyer here so who knows

Never hire a lawyer who "never loses".

I love those guys. They take easy cases, do a lot of PR, and can rattle off win after win.

Hospitals even get caught doing this once in a while - "Our success rate with XYZ procedure is better than anyone else's" - sure, because you only treat the most promising patients.

After listening to the two lawyers who claimed to have represented Zimmerman, this one seems much more professional in his responses.

showing some competency. I believe Zimmerman DID commit murder and would not like him to get off due to the incompetency of his representation which, if the two yahoos who previously claimed to represent him continued to do so, competency on their part was already a big question mark.

I checked out O'Mara's website. He's virtually a solo practitioner, and practices a lot of family law, eg. divorce.

He's probably no Johnny Cochran, who was amazing in the OJ case, but he may be another placeholder.

If O'Mara is the attorney, I think that he will need co-counsel because this case will take up twice the time that O'Mara has.

There may be some right wing money that could get some really serious criminal defense attorneys interested.

In my weird picayune specialty, I'm pretty well known, and that can be a problem when the other side wants to make the case about me instead of the facts.

However, O'Mara has only been Z's lawyer for a few hours.

I just hope that O'Mara doesn't lean toward plea because O'Mara is in over his head.

I used to practice, but never criminal law.

He was difuse on purpose.

His objective was to be new, setting aside all the events and emotions that preceded, and be likable or sypathetic. He presented himself, tonaly, almost as an impartial figure, interested primarily in justice.

No judgements. No pat story. No heat.

He did not inspire outrage. He did not take fixed positions that contradict and harden positions.

It was a good performance for the court of public opinion.

And did not push the prosecution into any public oppositional position, which is useful for pleading out.

This guy is toast.
He had a great defense team then ignores them, speaks to the DA?
Says a lot about him, none of it good.
His losing streak is going to continue.

The first one never even defended a homicide suspect before. I don't think Zimmerman is the case one should start with.
