"If" republicans take the senate, what do voters think that is going to do for them? Does it

mean they like this ridiculous congress and they want more of 'do-nothing' republicans. Do they want to be disadvantaged even more? I just don't get it. Is it because they hate Obama so much? In my world, it makes absolutely no sense.

Also, Bill Clinton was extremely white, and in the first mid-term after his election, R's took both the House and the Senate in a landslide.

Bill Clinton was the first President who came of age during the counter-culture period of the US and he was part of it. His admission to using drugs, his liberalness on race relations, gender equality, etc. made him a target for much the same reasons Obama is - for what they represent.

How about "seat at the table" (for blacks). The racists didn't like all that inclusiveness.

1994 was also about naive/stupid voters revolting against the Clinton health care plan of 1993. And no doubt low Democratic voter turnout.

this mornings paper has an article about how the hospitals here in ok is losing money and that the administrators see it as a political gaff by our repub governor for refusing extended medicare money but by the time you finish the story you come away believing that the president is responsible, if you're about half ass stupid to begin with anyway, which many pukes are. In other words its Obama's fault for all our ills according to the press.
If we don't get this press thingy right we're doomed.

Corporations should not have been allowed to buy up our press as they've been doing since watergate. Corporations = republiCONs

You won't change the minds of the teabagging fools, but if you can dilute their votes with more votes of people who would not ordinarily vote in a midterm election, you can turn things around.

Not the things you want done, but if the wealthy want something done, mark it off the list. We'll enjoy great tax reductions (well, not us, but the rich will), they'll overturn RoevWade, they'll impeach Obama (unsuccessfully), and at last we can get our local police departments geared up with military equipment to handle the pesky poor people. Other advantages may be that we can get more redistricting done so the dwindling republican party can create more un-losable districts, and maybe we can finally get rid of that useless minimum wage thingie.

Don't vote! We need change!

They had control of the house and senate the first two years of Obama's presidency, but they decided to 'let' the Repuke minority block down legislation due to filibuster rules that were never intended to let a minority control and block the country's progress. Obama got his health legislation, but very little more than that. But they nonetheless decided to "uphold the filibuster tradition", which is not a constitutional demand, even after McConnell and the Republican crooks were telling us their highest priority was to block Obama from getting anything done.

Where is this "thinking voter" of whom you speak?

Republicans have absolutely nothing (besides homophobia, racism, and other social diseases) to offer at least 95% of the population. It is an embarrassing absurdity that they stand any chance of winning anything.

We don't vote FOR people in America....we vote against people.

Most of the time our votes are based on keeping the other guy out of office or limiting his ability to work.

This is what George Washington was afraid of concerning political parties. He believed parties destroyed individual thinking, creates divide where it doesn't need to be, and leads to political stagnation.

Many people don't believe what any politician says, and who can blame them? They know if they have a job or not. They know how much gasoline costs. If they are not happy with their life situation, they know they want something to change.
