If the bullet the coroner dug out of Trayvon's chest wasn't from Zimmerman's gun, he's innocent.

I turn my head for five fucking minutes and there are 200 threads suggesting that we give Zimmerman a cookie and a foot rub. Fuck ME.

Imagine that this is YOUR SON. Imagine he's never coming home again.

You can't do it. I can't do it. Only Trayvon's parents can do it and I don't ever want to experience that kind of pain.

I need proof that Zimmerman didn't put a bullet in that kid. Then I'll worry about Zimmerman. Until then, if he did it, I hope he spends the rest of his life in a prison cell. What "facts" are gonna bring that kid back from the dead?

But to the point of the OP's question. If not Zimmy's gun, where did this "mystery" bullet come from?

me too: my daughter, killed 13 days after her 21st birthday. so sorry for your loss
bereaved parents have a pretty good idea of what Trayvon's are going through. having said that, the OP's point is absolutely correct imo. zimmerman admitted killing Trayvon. I got no love for this killer. yes he has a right to a fair trial and i am confident that is what he will get. the jury will decide his guilt or lack thereof, legally. in the meantime i don't have to pretend that he's innocent of the charges, not when i am 100% convinced of his guilt.

Now that Zimmerman has been charged and arrested there seems to be a newfound concern over the "facts."

I believe it is a "fact" that there was a bullet in Zimmerman's gun that ended up in Trayvon Martin's chest after Zimmerman pulled the trigger.

If that is a "fact" it is the only "fact" I need before stating, emphatically, that I hope Zimmerman spends the rest of his life behind bars.

Quit just looking at what you want to believe. This whole thread is about you chastising phantoms. What you say you're irate about in DU doesn't even slightly resemble the discussions that are actually going on in this board.

turning. Remember on of the best--and in a case like this,frustrating-- things about our justice system is innocent until proven guilty. Like the Casey Anthony case the public will be shown or get information that the jury never saw.

We have to hope that the jury is given all the information and justice is served.

I know you are passionate about this event. If you notice I have been as well but I am forcing myself to step back and let the justice system work as it should.

Maybe they tumbled about. Maybe Zimmerman flipped his body over after shooting. Maybe he turned to run when shot and fell on his hands, his final act in those final split seconds being an attempt to break his fall. It's all unclear, but shootings are messy, confused events that rarely resemble the neatly choreographed scenes from a movie. Truth is, we'll never get the full story. The only other witness was gunned down. Now Zimmerman gets to spin out his own self-serving explanation.

but that doesn't mean Zimmerman is guilty. He's a dick to be going around on neighborhood watch carrying a loaded gun. But if he was attacked and sincerely feared for his life, if those screams are his, then it probably was self defense.

You cant attack soemone and beat them continuously, bang their head etc... Zimmerman started it by getting out of his car and following, but if he was going back to his car and was attacked, then shooting the person seems like going overboard but it may be legal.

Trayvon should have chewed him out, but then walked away. Or HE should have called the police on Zimmerman.

Of course we don't knwo what actually happened so we'll have to wait for the evidence. but thats what seems to have happened for now. We dont have Trayvon's side, thats the problem.
