Jerald Rice typed his wife's name into an Internet search engine. A series of unsettling stunts had perplexed him.
Advertisements for sex with his wife popped up. "Adult entertainment of all types when my husband is not home," the ads said. "Not for the faint of heart. Come see me during the day while my husband is at work and we can get our freak on."
Some ads contained the couple's address and a photograph of the home they shared with their two children. Some had his wife's photograph, he said.
Alarmed, he called his wife at work and then spoke to an FBI agent. He installed security equipment and pleaded with the online sites to remove the ads.

(14,733 posts)Sick and wrong. I'm always amazed at criminals who don't realize that they will be the most likely suspect from the start, and still go on to commit the crimes they do.

(10,751 posts)The "her" in that sentence refers to the woman who perpetrated this criminal harassment! I guess the nightmare that the couple lived through doesn't count as much.
Fuck her. I don't care if she feels burdened by her life. Apparently, in her deranged mind, there was only one house in the whole city of San Diego that "meets their needs" -- and that gave her the right to harass these people who bought the house, posting sexual come-ons purportedly from the wife, etc.
What if one of those men had gotten into the house and raped the woman?
Here is what the perp said in court:
That does not sound like someone who is acknowledging the seriousness of what she did. She already paid a financial settlement. Now she is fighting the felony charges. In spite of her home situation I hope she does some jail time. There is simply no excuse for what she did. She could have spent her energy finding the next-best house for her family, but instead decided to be vindictive because she wasn't able to buy "the house of her dreams".

Sent "love letters" to the wives of the neighbors from the home owner's wife, stopped their mail, sent thousands of dollars worth of magazine subscriptions, set up sex ads for the wife with the address, and almost got the woman raped - "ignore me when I say no!"
Prison might give her a chance to catch up on the sleep. Either way, she needs help!
This woman is off her rocker, to say the least. I can't believe she did all of this. One hurtful magazine subscription and she should've come out of her rage and just let it go. Applying for several magazines and holding the family's mail hostage? Wow.
Inviting men over to rape the woman inside? Wow...
Reminds me of those kids these days who "swat" each other. That's insane and definitely crosses the line. Both of these acts could result in sexual crimes or murder. Just unbelievable how inconsiderate and unconcerned she is... I tend to agree with other responses - she seems like a cold, heartless, sociopath.
