Using republican philosophy...Did Ann Romney bargain her sexuality for food/shelter/security

We all know how the GOP loves to distort and take the simplest ideas to the nth degree when it suits them so.....

Ann Romney's "choice", under a GOP microscope...(if she were NOT a GOP-wife) "could" be construed to be just such a choice.

GOPers (and especially Mormons) seem to believe that sex is only for getting babies , and her payment for all that sex & all those baby boys was to be a kept woman.

Does anyone really think that a woman (of her era) who married a son-of-a-governor/rich guy really had any plan BUT to be a stay-at-home Mom?

When Ann was in college, MOST "jobs/careers" available to "us girls" were teacher/nurse/bank-teller/etc.

Why would a woman marrying into a wealthy family even plan to "work"? Back then (and today to some degree), having a "woman-of-leisure" for a wife was a status symbol for the Richie Rich types too. It PROVED to his peers that he was a man of substance who could easily afford to have the wife & kiddies hanging out at the Country Club pool & tennis courts.

"Work" for MOST modern women is about MONEY..

When a family does not have enough MONEY, the wife WORKS outside the home because outside the home jobs pay MONEY for labor.

Jobs inside the home are not paid in money.. they are "paid" in food/shelter/security.

If a family has kids and the husband/significant other makes enough MONEY, and the woman WANTS to be a stay at home, she has that CHOICE.

99.999999% of mothers these days (and for a long time) do not have that choice.
