The GOPers have been trying to stick his name on every damn government building, park, bridge, whatever, in the country. Here's a list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_things_named_after_Ronald_Reagan

On things for Democratic Presidents. Just never have. Republicans do all the time. Heck carriers are named after Republicans but only Truman and JFK were given the honor. The next carrier is George HW Bush. Where are all the Jimmy Carter named things??????

I doubt very many if any presidents could amass such a list of places named after them while they sat in office.

On this subject, I'm a full-blown pessimist.

(After the first sentence, there was 10 minute gap.)
What would happen if a sitting President committed a heinous crime?
It would be rather uncomfortable with the populace to have a famous landmark named after someone like that.

(Well..one that was actually brought to justice ..Bush)

here in chicago you cant name a school after someone who is alive.
a new school in the hood had a lot of support for naming it after michael jordan, but was prohibited. but it happened that is was about the time that michael's dad was killed, so they named it after him.

maybe they will change the rule now, tho.
