The cabinet on the tv was large, but I think the tv itself had only a 19 or 20 inch screen. We were just happy that we had color! My fundy dad actually didn't like for me to watch Isis. He thought I was worshiping an Egyptian goddess.

Maybe not psychotic-crazy like Hitler or Stalin or Hussein, or a religious nut like ISIS, but evil nonetheless. The world really is better off without Mao.

Both countries could blow up the planet several times over - there was no use attacking the other as they would launch as soon as they knew missiles were coming. Thus the threat was equal.

Khruschev was ousted in 1964-- Leonid Brezhnev was the bad guy in the '70s.

Mao Tse-tung was the bad guy in the '60s, but Nixon's trip to China in 1972, and our withdrawal from Vietnam early the following year, started to cast him in a more "favorable" light. And then he died in 1976.
