"SNIP.....................
The GOP has previously used some of these same attacks on Clinton. This briefing makes clear that Republicans hope the separate points will contribute to an overall narrative that Clinton is ethically compromised and overly cozy with big business. The RNC is also clearly eager to capitalize on any potential dissatisfaction with Clinton among the more liberal wing of the Democratic Party.
In an email to Business Insider, RNC Press Secretary Kirsten Kukowski said the GOP thought "CGI is always a good opportunity for us."
"The Wall Street ties and her problems with that part of the Democrat Party and the baggage that comes with CGI as an organization," Kukowski said of Clinton. "This summer has solidified the fact that Hillary Clinton is out of touch with Americans between spending all of her time with millionaires and comments that she was dead broke despite million-dollar homes and book deals.
"This week the Clintons will be palling around with millionaires sticking a finger in the eye of Elizabeth Warren Democrats who already have questions about Hillary's loyalties. It's no wonder Democrats like Elizabeth Warren and Martin OMalley see an opportunity to engage these voters who are disappointed the Democrat party is trying to anoint Hillary Clinton. But it isn't just who Hillary spends her time with it's the baggage that comes with her ties to an organization that has had a lot of financial and ethical questions surrounding it."

(468 posts)....but this is a sad attempt at concern trolling. They are trying to split the pig, so to speak - wedge the party.
I'm a Sanders guy through and through and I will support him as long as he is a candidate - however long or short that may be. However, if Sanders drops and Hillary goes on for the nomination, I will THEN support her. Call it the lesser of two evils, but Hillary is a million times better than any thug the GOP would put out there (this is the case for almost all Democrats). Bill Clinton, with all his financial deregulation, did oversee a period of relative peace, a contexted growth, and what turned out to be irrationally exuberant prosperity. He did pretty well and he did advance the ball overall. Hillary would do the same. I'll give her that despite her corporatist leanings.

(45,274 posts)of the discussion about Hillary that has been going on here since she was SOS. I didn't wade through it all, but if there had been any dynamite, it would have been on top. And I didn't see any dynamite here, nothing that couldn't have been predicted.
I think one of the reasons they're trying so hard to take out Hillary so early is that they realize that they are competing for the same "ecological niche" of core wealthy contributors. She's the designated candidate of the Big-Money-seeking Democrats, i.e. the Third Way. If they can take her out, they have clear title to Wall Street, no other Democrats need apply.

(23,664 posts)And if Warren is nominated they will call her the most liberal. Of course, that's more or less what they always do. And of course they never miss an opportunity to refer to the "Democrat" party.
But she has given them an opportunity to derail her candidacy before the nomination what with the stabbing Obama in the back, the photo ops with war criminals, and the six figure speeches to Wall Street crooks. And they didn't pull that "dead broke" stuff out of their ass, she's the one who said it.
Of course the RNC are a bunch of douches, but H Clinton has given them a lot of ammunition to fire back at her, so we shouldn't be surprised that they are doing it.
