The "WAR ON DRUGS": New Hampshire grandma shot by cops after reaching for infant during DEA raid

Her son told the New Hampshire Union Leader his 10-year-old sister opened the door to Alonzo’s home and federal agents burst into the apartment.

“She went to pick up the baby,” said Daniel Nunez. “They thought she was reaching for something, and they shot her.”

The bullet ripped through her arm and entered her torso, the newspaper reported.

No drugs, weapons, or large amounts of cash were found at Alonzo’s home, Daniel Nunez said.

they usually go with.

The state attorney general is investigating the shooting, which authorities said may have been accidental.

How about they get the appropriate warrant, watch the house for as long as it takes to get a reasonable estimate of how many people are inside (use thermo-imaging or other such technology) and sit and wait for the people inside to come out (and detain them), then walk them back into the house to serve the warrant and conduct the search.

Yes ... It will take much, much longer and rob them of playing Rambo meets John Wayne; but it will reduce the reflex shooting rate to near zero.

Most of these SWAT types are Adrenaline Junkies. It may be legal, but it's still a Drug.

This is how they get their High, besides opening a can of Whup-ass.

They couldn't have waited until the kids went to school/day care? At least the little ones would have been out of harm's way.

for the men in blue. With every screw up like this, more and more people are becoming anti war on drugs. It is just a matter of time before the Feds save face and end federal prohibition. Some very conservative states and NJ would still support it but it would eventually die a long awaited death like alcohol prohibition.

They should be elected and every one of the candidates should be fully vetted...
Police Big wigs should be forced in some way to supportive and protective of this over sight commission.. Their review process should include input by the Civilian Board..

But is the gun okay? What about the well-being of the gun? Leave it to the liberal media to ignore the real issue.
