Interesting piece Alexandra Pelosi did on Real Time

Last edited Sat Sep 27, 2014, 10:57 PM - Edit history (1)

She went to Minnesota's 2nd district. This is the district Bill Maher is trying to flip with Republican John Klein and asked people who their representative was. Of course most people could not identify who it was, but what was interesting was when she asked Republicans a range of issues they sided with the Democrats most of time, but still would vote for Republican candidate. What she found was that Republicans vote against their self interest, but Democrats don't vote for their interest.

here is a really bad clip of it on youtube

People do not pay attention to politics, for whatever reason. Most do not know there is an election in November!

Sneering and rolling their eyes at liberals, and people assume it means they are bad.

I know this will get the wrath of the "don't blame the victim" crowd, but screw it - the general population is a big part of the problem with the current political climate right now.

We all knew people voted against their own self interest, but this is proof positive.
