Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsUgh. So a few Republican friends have "liked" Republican-leaning youtube videos on Facebook,
and now Facebook thinks I want to see pro-Republican ads. I didn't even "like" those particular videos.
I think I discovered what Facebook and viruses have in common.

(46,736 posts)They are obviously data mining because they know what I'm googling, since the same products show up on my Facebook site. But the pro-Republican ads can only come from one source. And that's from a friend who is new to Facebook who is including youtube videos that are crowd pleasers for her other Republican friends.

(7,633 posts)Tell facebook you do not want to see this kind of ad. Its a dropdown menu next to the ad.

Then it gives you the ability to block the offensive content but not block your friend.
I used to get all that RW stuff from my fundy family, but now I only get their news and
pics, not their politics.
