The whole, "Zimmerman MAY apologize." statement...

I have a question about this. If he feels he was justified in doing what he did, why would he apologize?

I definitely am not in the place of the parents. But I remembered the circumstances in which my father died and I still blame the person who was involved.

I also have to wonder how sincere it is considering how his family has been running around justifying Zimmerman's actions. Basically saying they are speaking his name...they have been trying to get sympathy (by twisting the story) for him from those who have been following the case.

1. I suspect he'll be "sorry" for getting himself in so much trouble, not sorry for what he did.

If he was truly sorry, he would have said so on his http://www.therealgeorgezimmerman.com/ web-page, before he got charged and arrested.

according to Zimmerman's high power pro bono attorney, they were both "young men"? So you see, there was little difference between the two who were involved. Therefore it was a "fair" fight.

And how is he able to get away with saying stuff like that? It's because lying has become an accepted form of expression in our society, due to the constant practices set forth by the advertising industry. They even have a whitewash word that they use for it. It's called putting a spin on what happened. So you see, there is really no need to even use the word lie as a part of our vocabulary anymore.

It seems to me that by apologizing it would be an admission of guilt. I just can't see it in any other way. Why in the world would anyone feel sorry for having to kill someone that you believed was trying to kill or cause great bodily harm to you? I can only see any kind of an apology as being a grossly selfish and despicable bid for sympathy to try to either get out of trouble or lessen it.

I would never ever be able to believe anyone that pleaded self-defense in killing someone who offered up an apology for doing it especially if the person that needed to be killed was a stranger so there couldn't possibly be any conflicting emotions of having a prior good relationship with the person. And DEFINITELY if the apology was only offered up AFTER having to face consequences (like being arrested).
