I mean, "overweight?"
Phyllis Schlafly: 'Overweight Woman In Charge Of The Secret Service' Couldn't 'Protect The President'
Submitted by Miranda Blue on Monday, 10/6/2014 2:56 pm
In an interview with Jacksonville radio host Cindy Graves on Friday, Phyllis Schlafly expressed her admiration for Rep. Michele Bachmann but seemed taken aback when Graves mentioned Joni Ernst, the Iowa Republican Senate candidate who is a lieutenant colonel in the Iowa Army National Guard. After Schlafly heaped praise on the wonderful and articulate Bachmann, Graves asked Schlafly a staunch opponent of allowing women to serve in the military if she shared her admiration for Ernst not only as a strong woman but also as a military leader, I think its refreshing. Schlafly curtly agreed before adding, Of course, the Secret Service has taken a blow in the past week. They put this overweight woman in charge of the Secret Service and she was not able, really, to protect the president.

(135,425 posts)You do realize she's a good ten bricks shy of a load, don't you?
I'm surprised she didn't call the woman a "Fatty fat-fat GIRL..." because that's how she usually rolls. She's probably the most sexist/racist/homophobic woman still mouthing off from the Bad Old Days of Anita Bryant, et.al.
She's a despicable human being.

(27,461 posts)i can't listen to the clip at the moment. Interesting that the radio host would ask her that. Was it a good question challenging Schlafly or was the host just clueless about her position on women in the military? Regardless, it looks like Schlafly diverted like a madwoman from the inconvenient question.

(2,097 posts)The only thing I took away from this was surprise. Not that she would say something like that. That's all too predictable. I'm shocked she's here to say it. Phyllis Schlafly is still alive!?! Good grief. She must be about 140 by now. She seemed old in the 70's.

(30,947 posts)I was in my 30s at that time and I thought she was in her 70s. I am now in my 70s, so you are right, she must be over 100 by now. I am going to check her out on Google.
Just checked her bio out and she was born in 1924, so she is 90, so she is close to 100.

(115,693 posts)And I'm wondering why this goofy old bat thinks the administrative head of an agency is required to take on the operational tasks of that agency. Were the Secret Service's mistakes a consequence of its director's alleged weight problem? Was the director expected to take a bullet for the president but she can't do that because she's overweight? Phyllis Schlafly is, and always has been, an idiot.

(135,425 posts)See, old PS thinks that she's "special." She's "one of the boys" and they "get" her and she "gets" them. She has "special powers" that most ordinary "girls" don't/can't ever have.
She'll give her PS (does that stand for Piece of Shit, I wonder?) dispensation to Christie--he's a MAAAAAN, and MEN are DIFFERENT and they enjoy different RULES.
Edited to add because you can never be too careful! Some people just don't read contextually and one must guard against that....
