Rush Limpo's comments vs Hilary Rosen's comments.

No, I don't want to compare the comments themselves.
What I do want to compare is the way they were handled by the political parties they represent.

Rush is a spokesman for the Republican Party. He has even been called the voice of the Republican Party.
When Rush made his despicable comments, no Republican came out and disvowed them. Instead they called it freedom of speech. And then they accused all of us that were so upset with his comments that we acted on it, as having a 'war against freedom of speech'.

When Hilary Rosen made her comments - which were spot on, but used a poor choice of words, prominent Democrats came out publicly against them. Blush, we are embarrassed.

So Rush has the freedom of speech (even tho he paid for it - this time) but Hilary Rosen does not?

Why couldn't Democrats say that while they don't agree with the words Hilary used, she has the freedom of speech to say what is ever on her mind.

This is the part of the Democratic Party that drives me crazy. The part where they let Republicans walk all over us instead of standing up. The part where they put their tail between their legs, and lower their heads - just like a puppy does when it chews up your favorite shoes.

Whether we agree with Hilary's comments or not - she had every right to say them. But now Republicans have successfully put her comments in a negative light and have pinned them right on every Democrats head. Enough!!

I don't think you can make any comparison between these two instances without comparing the comments themselves. Limbaugh's comments were personal, vicious and most importantly, totally untrue, while Rosen's were perfectly innocuous and true.

This makes the differing reactions even more notable. A lot of republicans knew Limbaugh's statements were bullshit yet they were able to bluff it out and defend them. Democrats on the other hand were intimidated by the fake outrage and ran from Rosen's comments like little babies.

A sad situation for sure.
