I know it's early, but: about the STL shooting

Has anyone seen any word on whether or not it was the off-duty officer's service weapon involved?

They call it 'secondary' duty, and they're in full uniform, including their issued weapons.

cops are basically leased out as private security and have the full power of an on-duty officer. Officer participation is voluntary.
