Breaking - US Supremes have stopped Wisconsin Voter ID law

on Rachel .

http://By Lawrence Hurley

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday prevented a new voter identification law in Wisconsin from going into effect.

The nine-justice court, with three conservative members dissenting, granted a last-minute request by civil rights groups seeking to block an appeals court ruling that the law could be implemented.

The high court's action means the new law, which requires voters to present photo identification when they cast ballots, will not be in effect in the lead-up to the November elections.whbl.com/news/articles/2014/oct/10/supreme-court-blocks-wisconsin-voter-id-law/

All voters must present an ID containing the voter’s name and photograph. Exception include: A voters who vote absentee by mail; voters who are residents in a licensed nursing home or assisted living center and vote at that facility; hospitalized voters; voters with a religious objection to being photographed; and indigent voters. Complete information can be found at the Tennessee Secretary of State website.

Anything I have to say about him would probably be awful and include why he looks like he has a sub-80 IQ.

How many times did he get dropped on his head as a child?

Okay, see, there I go.

Did you see the latest Koch Brothers documentary. Walker is prominently featured. The documentary talks about the 'punked' phone call.

He thinks he's talking to one of them on this video. What a fool.

In Wisconsin, Ohio and North Carolina the Court has put the brakes on lower-court rulings that would have made late changes in election procedures in the run-up to election day. DUers did not like the OH and NC rulings, but they are consistent with the WI ruling.
