"In an amazing coincidence, the very first person to see the statue as it came off the truck was Glenn Greenwald."

(50,414 posts)Do people have to be dead to be admired for their deeds? I admire what Snowden did when he showed us what the NSA is doing. Just as I admire Daniel Ellsberg for exposing what we were doing in Vietnam.

I'll bet someone is very disappointed today!
Because whoever built that statue expected Snowden to get the Nobel Peace Prize today!
And there's Glenn, standing next to it.
Must be a coincidence that he was the first one to see it, huh?
Naw, I'll bet you a brazillion dollars he thought that Snowden was going to win the Nobel Peace Prize, too.
Because the Guardian took a poll, don'tcha ya know.
The poll results are in the article in the Good Reads forum, in a thread by Judy Lynn.
To which I would like to say, Thank you, Judy!!

Here he seems to have an unusually large head:

The diligence of the smear brigade is directly proportional to the severity and seriousness of the crimes revealed by Snowden, being committed by our corporate government against its own people.[/font size]

NSA spying and inequality are deeply, inextricably linked.
