Sean Hannity says what we are all afraid to say

On his show, he expands on alien invasions- not content with a Mexican fence, he goes on to say:

" (guest speaking) ---Canada would be a place you might want to come through. There is no organized -

HANNITY: I'd put a fence there too. Colonel --

BECKEL: Oh you would put a fence by Canada? That would make some news, now. Are you sure?"

I was always suspicious of those innocuous, milk-toast Canadians with their bacon, beer and taking over that whole section of Niagara Falls.

but you could put floats near the top to help support them. Only have to be 1340 feet tall maximum... Now having customs points in the middle of the lakes to allow for inspection of boat, that might be tough.

went to the Canadian border having fun with the lack of controls.

It was a pretty good bit.

I hear it's a real mess going to Canada now, but even before the 9/11 paranoia, every time I drove to Montreal I got grief from the American side while the Canadians just waved me through.

A woman I know who was born in Sweden and came to Canada when she was five, had to do tons of paperwork to cross the border after 9/11. Something to do with her not being a native Canadian. She used to vacation in Florida, but then said fuck it and now goes to Cuba instead. Cheaper, and the people are nicer anyway.

and I had read we were the biggest draw for foreign students in the world, but then we started making it difficult for students - all due to one student, Hani Hanjour. How it matters how those hijackers came into the country is a mystery. Most of them would have been here anyway - it's not like immigration controls are going to stop criminals of that order.

We shot ourselves/our economy in the foot with useless restrictions that wouldn't have mattered to terrorists anyway.

Most of my European relatives have stopped coming to the US to visit for this exact reason. US Customs makes innocuous tourists feel like they're criminals being processed for jailing, and it's only got worse every year since 9/11.

In most countries, you show your passport and answer at most maybe a single question ("How's your morning?&quot and they wave your through. Coming into the US, you're going to be interrogated, fingerprinted, and possibly sniffed by dogs (Hello Sea-Tac!) and the chance of your luggage being searched is much higher (it's happened many times to me coming back into the US, almost never anywhere else).

It really feels very much like entering a police state, and it's no wonder people are starting to dislike coming here if that's their first impression of the US.

Sean Hannity is batshit crazy.

Sane people would never say such a batshit crazy thing. It's not that anyone is "afraid" to say such things, it's that no one would be stupid enough to say them!!!

Does he have shares in a fencing company, or something?

Or one of those large dog pens. And...while at PetSmart...might as well get a muzzle.

Honestly...I'm a little surprised Canadians haven't put a fence up to keep us out!!
